2025 – International Year of Quantum Science and Technology

Join us as we celebrate the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), declared by UNESCO. This year marks 100 years since the birth of quantum mechanics in 1925, and our mission is to highlight the incredible impact quantum science and its applications have on our lives.

At the Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST), quantum physics forms the core of our research. We're excited to celebrate the milestones and groundbreaking discoveries made over the past century. Our interdisciplinary approach continues to push the boundaries of quantum mechanics, and we’re eager to bring you closer to the latest advancements in this fascinating field.
